Day 2 Students Respond, Yoga

Hi kids,

Please share what you did in school today. What did you enjoy best today? Tell me about the yoga class, and describe how yoga helps your body.



(Does anyone want to share what you learned about the muscles in the human body?)  Show off how smart you are after Day 2!

  3. In school i did yoga it was cool because we learn many types of moves and the yoga was about 5000years ago when they invented and it was a relaxing thing to do.

  6. It was fun doing yoga with my ipw group and i learned alot about it.Yoga really calms your body and your mind.The documentary was very interesting
    I learned about peoples health life and how people are very unhealthy.

Yesterday what I did was i had fun in the gym and a yoga teacher came.We learned that yoga was created by men that needed to find a way to stretch because there backs hurt.I also learned that it takes patience and time and makes your life less stressful.Also I learned that yoga was made about 5000 years ago.

What i did on yoga class was relax and do some new ways of pose the yoga teacher showed us and i really liked it because i was relax and it was fun.Yoga helps us with our body because it stretches our body and we can be more relaxed.On the documentary of "Fat,Sick, and Nearly Dead" we saw how the man was asking people about fasting and their habits and also he asked some people what they think about him only drinking vegetable juice for 60 days.

  9. yesturday in Ipw we did yoga. Yoga helps your to help pepole relax. I learned about the muscles is some exersise are for upper body and some are for the lower body.

  11. Hello ms.myrthil yesterday was very fun and I wish you were there. What I enjoyed the best was the yoga teacher coming in and teaching us new things in yoga that we didn't know before. Also yoga helps my body in many different ways. For example it relaxes me and calms me down when im tired and i just want a little bit of peace and much more. Also in the documentary we finished all the questions and he is getting skinnier when the days passes. I wish you were there to do some yoga with us.

  12. What I really enjoyed was the yoga class.There was a woman as a yoga teacher.When she was standing on her hands in a kicking position I thought that was cool.Yoga helps your body by relaxing your body.

  13. Yesterday me and my friends experienced yoga.Also we did crazy poses that are tough. I would probably do this on my own time a different day. We were also laughing a lot. We also made ms Capers mad from how we were behaving. But we know we will behave better for the hip hop teacher.

  14. YESTERDAY WAS REALLY FUN. WE WENT TO THE GYM. THAT WAS ONE OF THE FAVORITE THING I DID YESTERDAY. WE GOT TO PLAY WHATEVER SPORT WE WANTED TO. I ALSO LIKED THE YOGA CLASS. IT WAS CALM AND RELAXING.WE ALSO LEARNED ABOUT MUSCLES AND INTESTINTS.

  15. Yesturday in apw we did yoga and yoga was funy. yesturday day make us relax on a quiet place.The move is the man get skinny but the man get sick hi got diseases.

Yesterday I had a really fun day because we had yoga.Yoga was fun because Marissa our yoga teacher taught us some moves like the warrior moves, the rising sun, the tree, the bridge, the pretzel, the eagle, the sleeping eagle, and the relaxing meditation.For me the eagle was hard for me because you needed a lot of balance but I kept falling.I really liked the relaxing meditation because it was really relaxing and Marissa told us that in the relaxing meditation we fool our body that we are going to sleep but we are actually not going to sleep and if we sit up strait it will give us a boost of energy it also wakes us up.I learned that yoga can be hard for some people because they are not really that flexible.It can also be easy for some people because they are really flexible and it could also be ok for some people because it's not that hard for them or easy.

  17. Yesterday in IPW we started off our morning with some stretching and dancing to make you sweat. Then we all got made a chart saying what we know about yoga,what we want to know about it, and what we learned. The yoga exercises were actually really fun like The Eagle and The Bridge. Yoga helped my body to be less tense and more relaxed which was really good for me I happen to think. Then we went to lunch and after lunch we went to the gym which was my second best part! :) yesterday was a lot of fun.
